had a blast being an extra on set for upcoming HBO comedy series, “Girls”! It was around 200 of us extra “hipster and party-goes”. Ended up being a 12-hour shoot that got out at 2am; mostly downtime. Met a lot of cool ass kids. Met two hoopers who I became friends with. They both teach hooping, and were kind enough to give me some tips and help with isolations. Played with my first LED hoop as well! And also would mark my first time ever hooping infront of a lot of people (usually just my sis and her roommate sees me). Despite there being four other talented hoopers, my mediocre skills still wow-ed people, which was definitely encouraging. Hey, it hasn’t even been two months since I picked up hooping, can’t really complain; i think I’ve been pretty quick to pick it up and learn new moves. Decided I’m going to Figment on Saturday to meet up with the two hoopers to jam out and meet more hoopers! (I need friends I actually have shit in common with… haha. I realized most of my friends and I have very little in common…)
Had another “small world” moment as one of the guys I was talking to grew up a town away from me and is friends with a lot of kids I used to hang with.
So yeah, i basically got paid to pretend party, meet cool people and hang out. My life is winning :)
